At this year's Art Cologne, EBENSPERGER presents a poetically humorous, pictorial exhibition on the current instability, unrest, and fluctuations of the economy.The booth presentation will take a look back at the miracle years of the German economy (Peter Berndt, Bernd Koberling, David Moises, Hans Dieter Tylle), a side view on the GDR (Gundula Schulze Eldowy), a status quo look at the current situation, and a look ahead to possible scenarios (Lea Draeger, Jens Pecho).
We are pleased to present a selection of works by Arhun Aksakal for the NEW POSITIONS section, featuring several new works in dialogue with selected early pieces.
His works move between personal biography, historical artifacts, urban observations, and their geographical inscriptions—guided by a natural, often fragmentary aesthetic. They reflect an instinctive reversal, revitalization, or the human obsession with renewal and reorganization. In doing so, they negotiate tensions between natural and artificial environments, cultural heritage, migration, and the mechanisms of control and resistance.
